Friday 21 November at 6.30pm @ St. John’s College MCR
2014 marks the year in which the 2000th woman commenced studies at St. John’s College at the University of Oxford. St. John’s College are therefore hosting celebratory events aimed at helping promote women in academia across the university. On the 21st of November this year, St John’s College and OxFEST are holding the Inaugural OxFEST dinner as a part of these celebrations. The aim of the dinner is to encourage women working in STEM to network, support and encourage each other towards developing careers in science, and discuss how gender equality can be made a reality. There will be a champagne reception before the dinner and we will be enjoying the ‘2000 Women’-themed wine throughout the dinner (as well as chocolates, port and dessert wine afterwards)! A place at this dinner costs just £10 and we would love you to come and join in these exciting celebrations! Opening drinks will commence at 6.30pm in St. John’s College MCR. All are welcome – men and women alike – although places are only open to OxFEST members. If you are interested in celebrating women and gender equality in science, please apply for a place here (apply quickly as places are in high demand):
If you have any questions, please contact Jan Cosgrave (firstname.lastname@example.org)!
This is an event that cannot be missed!!
